Our story began in 2005 when Mr. Jovan Gelebeshev, a passionate oenologist, embarked on a journey to create his vineyard and establish the Jostela brand. Infusing his vast knowledge and love for the magic of wine into the project, he laid the foundation for what would become a cherished family legacy. Today, Jostela Winery is led by the second and third generations of oenologists in the family, Mr. Gelebeshev’s daughter, Venera, and her son, Stefan.

While initially focused on red wines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Vranec, and Gaudium, Jostela Winery made a significant mark in the world of wine with the introduction of our first rosé crafted from the Cabernet Franc grape variety in 2008. Now, Jostela is renowned for its exceptional rosé wines, capturing the hearts of wine enthusiasts worldwide.

As our winery evolved, we expanded our portfolio to include new varietals. We ventured into producing a white wine from Traminec and Žilavka variety, a grape historically prevalent in the Gevgelija region, showcasing our commitment to reviving ancient treasures and developing wines with unique identities.

Nestled just 2 kilometers from the border with the Republic of Greece, our winery exudes the charm of a small hacienda. The warm hues of the characteristic orange facade, the inviting courtyard adorned with quinces, figs, and aromatic herbs, create an unparalleled ambiance that places wine at the center of attention.

Within our cellar, we annually produce an array of remarkable wines, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gaudium aged in oak barrels for 12-24 months, Žilavka, Rosé, and cuvette rosé Nuit. Our Gaudium wine, a harmonious blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, ages in oak barrels for 12-14 months, followed by an additional six months in glass bottles, ensuring exceptional flavor and complexity. This meticulous approach has earned us high praise from our esteemed customers, who particularly appreciate the quality and character of our wines.

Looking toward the future, Jostela aims to create an association of adventurers by introducing them to our wines and spreading awareness about Wine culture in general. Our focus lies in working with local wine varieties to craft premium wines that truly reflect the uniqueness of our geographical region.

Basic Tour – €25 per person

Wine Tasting: Mrs. Venera will enchant you with captivating stories behind each wine as you sample 3 exquisite selections – red, white, and rosé wine. A glass of brandy (rakija) and liqueur of your choice is also on the list.

Accompaniments: Enjoy an array of fine cheeses, assorted salamis, bruschetta with delectable pastes, “ajvar,” pickles, and bread. Seasonal variations may apply.

Dessert: Delight in traditional sweets crafted from figs and the exquisite “ravaiya.”

Vineyard Tour: Gain insights into the winemaking process with a guided tour of our vineyard and production facilities.

Upgraded Tour – €45 per person

In addition to the Basic Tour:

Extended Tasting: Indulge in a wider selection, including 5 wines, brandy, and liqueur of your choice.

Gourmet Main Course: Choose between meat or fish, notifying us at least 3 days in advance.

Property Tour: Explore the vineyard and gain in-depth knowledge of our production processes.
